Houston aims to hand TFC its first home loss

06/30/2010 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Houston Dynamo travel to take on Toronto FC in an inter conference Major League Soccer match on Thursday night at BMO Field.

The Dynamo (5-7-2) are coming off a 2-2 draw vs. the Colorado Rapids to snap a three-game losing streak, but are disappointed to not get the full points at home.

"[There were] some positives and negatives," Dynamo midfielder Danny Cruz told mlssoccer.com. "We broke the losing streak, so that's important; that being said, we wanted to come out with three points at home. But we take a point and look forward to Thursday against Toronto."

Houston will be hard pressed to earn the full points at Toronto on Thursday, given that the Reds are 4-0-2 on their home turf this season.

TFC (5-4-3) is coming off back-to-back scoreless draws at home, with the most recent being vs. the league-leading Los Angeles Galaxy.

While the Dynamo have been struggling this season, at least one Toronto player is wary of them turning their season around.

"All of the fans seem to expect them to start slowly and pick up as the season goes along because that is usually how their season goes, but I know they are going to come here to compete because they will be trying to turn things around," former Houston and current TFC midfielder Dwayne De Rosario said. "They are a team that rides on confidence and we have to make sure that we don't allow they to get into the game and start to build their confidence."

Toronto will be playing without defender Emmanuel Gomez, while midfielder Joseph Nane is questionable, while Houston will be without midfielder Geoff Cameron, all with injuries.
